About the Project
I challenged my photographer friend to a 30-minute photoshoot battle. The catch: the model had to be a stranger.
This project was a fun way to challenge the way I approach photoshoots. Instead of being straightforward with my shots (simple portraits), I learned to work outside the box and focus on interesting compositions to stand out.
The editing for the video was just as fun, and I really worked on no-nonsense editing. The intro sequence sets up the challenge in under 30 seconds, an intentional way to keep viewer retention. Speed-ramping the slow-mo footage was a major aesthetic of this video, not to mention the audio design between transitions. This project was a blast to work on and I look forward to collaborating with future photographers to learn from them.
