About the Project
A production company in Los Angeles recruited me to direct a short film about one crazy concept: an artist living in a UHAUL truck until Adam Sandler heard his song.
Ridiculous, I know. Even more ridiculous was compacting 15 hours of footage I filmed over the course of a week down to 20 minutes.
This project was a testament to my commitment to storytelling; of tracking an underdog as he goes through a hero’s journey. This storytelling framework was top of mind during the various drafts the video went through. I’m most proud that this seemingly ‘clickbait-y’ video descends into something wonderfully introspective. It reflects living the human experience and chasing your dreams. And fittingly, this video was one of my first forays into chasing my own dreams.
